Eagles Win Girls’ Basketball CIF Southern Regional Championship

With seconds to go in the CIF Southern Regional Open Division final, Leonna Odom ’16 put up a three-point shot which won the March 19 game. The buzzer-beater at the Walter Pyramid lifted the Eagles 50-49 over the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits and gave Chaminade College Preparatory’s Girls’ Basketball team the CIF Southern Regional Open Division Championship.

Next they travel to Sacramento for the CIF State Open Division final on Saturday, March 26. Chaminade faces the Northern Regional Champion, Miramonte (Orinda), in a 6:00 p.m. tipoff at the Sleep Train Arena.
