Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year

Dear Chaminade Families,

This past week I had the pleasure of meeting with new students, new parents, and new employees. Their enthusiasm is an invigorating reminder that this coming academic year brings great possibility.

Each year, Chaminade celebrates one of the five Characteristics of Marianist Education, and this year we focus on the importance of providing our students with an “integral, quality education.” This means that a Chaminade education is essential; it nurtures students both spiritually and intellectually. In partnership with you, our faculty, staff, and administration set out to ensure that your sons and daughters have a wholly enriching experience at Chaminade.

To evaluate Chaminade’s promise to deliver an excellent, comprehensive education, last year we unveiled a new strategic plan entitled Loving, Learning, and Leading Together. This ambitious plan challenges our school community to think boldly about its future. The strategic plan took on greater meaning this past March when Chaminade acquired the Saticoy Property, adjacent to our West Hills campus. As we determine how this nearly five-acre parcel will be utilized, a master plan process – which encourages audacious dreaming – is underway.

As the school year progresses, there will be many stories to share and events to support. Please know you are always welcome to celebrate Mass with us at either of our campuses. You can also keep up with us online.

It is truly an exciting time to be a member of the Chaminade family. With big plans ahead, we are deeply grateful that you choose us as your school and your home. Our faculty, staff, and administration hold your children in prayer, and look forward to a successful school year.
