Varsity Softball and Baseball in CIF Southern Section Playoffs

On Tuesday, May 20, the varsity softball team will host the opening game of the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section (CIF-SS) Playoffs against Sunny Hills High School at 3:15 p.m. on the Chatsworth campus. The Eagles earned a share of the mission league championship by winning their last two league games, a (2-0) victory over Alemany and a (15-1) over Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy. The Eagles ended in a three way tie with Notre Dame and Alemany. Winning the three-way coin flip, the Eagles entered the Division III Playoffs as the Mission League number one seed.

The varsity baseball team finished the mission league season with a rush winning five of their final six league contests, including important sweeps of Crespi and St. Francis, in the season’s final series. Finishing fourth in the mission league (7-5), the Eagles were selected as a wild card and will open the CIF-SS Division One Playoffs at West Ranch High School, on Wednesday, May 21.
