Chaminade Celebrates Homecoming Week

This week, students at the West Hills and Chatsworth campuses are celebrating Homecoming week. This year’s theme is “Journey Through the USA” and students participate in a host of activities all week long. Festivities kicked off Monday, September 14 with a rally at the middle school and the voting of the Homecoming King at the high school. Additional theme days for the week include State Fair Western Day, East Coast Preppy Day, Tacky Tourist Day and  USA/Red, White and Blue Day. On Wednesday high school students showed off their school spirit at the Road Trip Rally where Keanu Balani ’16 was crowned Homecoming King, and juniors rocked the house winning the coveted “Spirit Stick” for having the most school spirit.

Friday, September 18, is Varsity football game vs. Birmingham High School. Homecoming booths open at 4:00 p.m., the game kicks off at 7:00 p.m., and the Homecoming Queen will be announced at halftime. The week-long festivities come to a close Saturday night with a semi-formal dance “The President’s Ball,” and reunions celebrations for the Classes of 1965, 1975, 1985, 1995 and 2005.
