Fall Dates Added for College Application Boot Camp

Back by popular demand, the Center for Excellence has added new fall dates for the College Application Boot Camp. Counselors notice year after year that students who attend the boot camps get a tremendous head start in the college admissions process which, in turn, reduces stress as deadlines approach.

For three days, students will gain valuable information regarding college application processes and procedures, work one-on-one with counselors on their applications, and prepare drafts of their college essays. Counselors work closely with students on their college lists and provide helpful tips and feedback.

“I got a great head start on the essay portion. I was completely at a loss on what to write at the beginning, but by the end, I was almost done with my first draft.” –  Senior, Class of 2020

Students will also have the opportunity to meet admissions representatives from Johns Hopkins University, the University of Colorado at Boulder, Loyola Marymount University, and UCLA.

“When I attempted to apply at home, I ran into many questions and problems and had no one to help me. However, this boot camp helped with the application process and provided hands-on assistance with my questions.” –  Senior, Class of 2020

Join us September 3 – 5 from 3:30 – 8:30 pm. There are many steps involved in the application process, and the College Application Boot Camp is the best way to accomplish a ton in a short amount of time!

Volunteer Mixers are Around the Corner – RSVP Today!

The Office of Advancement and the Chaminade Parents’ Association will host the school’s annual volunteer mixers on Tuesday and Thursday, August 20 and 22. The mixers are a chance to meet committee chairs of special events, find out more about available volunteer opportunities, and meet other parents, grandparents, and Chaminade’s Advancement team.

Both mixers are open to all parents and are not campus-specific. Parents of middle and high school students at Chaminade may attend either event, and everyone is encouraged to bring a friend.
