Golf Tournament Registration is Open

Enjoy a day of golf while supporting Chaminade College Preparatory on Monday, September 19, 2016! Proceeds benefit the tuition assistance program, and registration for the 32nd annual Golf Tournament is open and filling up quickly.

This year’s tournament will be held at the Woodland Hills Country Club, and begins with a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. Golfers may register as individuals, a foursome, or as young alumni golfers (Classes 2006 to 2016). Each golfer will receive a day of golf, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks on the course, a cocktail hour, dinner, and a gift bag.

Prices are as follows:

  • Individual golfer: $325 ($350 after September 1)
  • Foursome: $1,200 ($1,300 after September 1)
  • Young alumni golfer (’06 to ’16): $195

Conor McCullough ’09 Competes in the Olympics

Conor McCullough ’09 competed in the Olympic Men’s Hammer Throw qualifications this morning and ranked 16th with a throw of 72.88m. He competed against 31 other Olympians, and is the highest ranking Team USA athlete for this event. A full replay of the event is available online. McCullough throws with Group B.

A Gold Medal for Valerie Higgins ’16 at FIBA Americas U18 Championships

After a 109-62 victory over Canada for Team USA in the FIBA Americas U18 Championships in Valdivia, Chile, Valerie Higgins ’16 now has a gold medal to add to her list of accomplishments.

This was the USA U18 women’s eighth straight gold medal in the event. The team has nine gold medals overall.

Higgins had five steals in the title game, and the FIBA Americas U18 Championship was her first appearance on Team USA. She was named to the team in May 2016. In the fall she will attend USC as a freshman guard for Trojans.
