Chaminade Presents the 2012 Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame

From the beginning athletics have been an important part of the Chaminade experience.  Since 1952, athletes have competed for Chaminade, while coaches and boosters also committed thousands of hours to young Eagles and their athletic program.  In 2002, the Chaminade Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame was formed to honor those athletes, coaches, and boosters for their contributions to the School.

On Saturday, May 5, Chaminade inducted a new class of Hall of Fame honorees to the Hall of Fame.  For the first time, inductees included an entire team – the 1998 Varsity Boys Basketball Team.  Also honored were athletes Stephen Stark ’81, Lucy Braker Howell ’87, Chris Gray ’97, Marcus Everett ’04, and boosters, Nancy and Phil Mundy.

This new class of hall of famers gathered with their families, friends, teammates, and past inductees in the Uribe Center on Chaminade’s West Hills Campus for a special dinner and ceremony.   The evening’s festivities included a video introduction of each inductee, as well as an unveiling of the new “Wall of Fame” in the lobby of the Uribe Center.

Chaminade congratulates its newest members to the Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame!
