By Kathy Rohrs

Chaminade just received word from Carnegie Hall that the Chaminade C-Notes have been given the top honor of being chosen as the solo “feature choir” for the National Children’s Festival at Carnegie Hall on Sunday April 14, 2013.  The C-Notes were chosen by Carnegie Hall adjudicators by submission of a DVD audition competing against other “Gold” choirs across the nation.  The C-Notes will perform on the world renowned stage as a solo choir to open the National Children’s choir festival accompanied by Chaminade HS Sophomore Alex Mansour.  This is the second time in three years that the Chaminade C-Notes have attained the honor of being selected as the “Feature choir” of the National festival at Carnegie Hall.  In addition to performing as the “feature choir”, the C-Notes will join with other “Gold” level choirs around the nation as a mass choir and perform five pieces of different choral genres conducted by Dr. Greg Gilpin.
