After winning 78-34 against Harvard Westlake in an absolute statement game, Chaminade has gained sole possession of 1st place in the Mission League. Terrell Newby, who ran for a school record 8 touchdowns and 360 yards on only 16 carries, led the triumph! However, it does not get any easier for the Eagles who are looking to win their fifth straight game.

Chaminade will face St. Francis next, a team that is looking to earn its first victory in Mission League play. The Golden Knights have been competitive in all of their games thus far and are hoping that their passing game can lead them past the Eagles. St. Francis is lead by their dual-threat quarterback, Jared Lebowitz, who has been efficient all season long, throwing for 17 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. Lebowitz can run too, running for almost 200 yards on the season, so the defense has to be prepared for a balanced attack.

The playoffs are quickly approaching and the Eagles are looking to stay consistent and play poised football. Chaminade has had success in the running game and defensively, the question is, will it continue against St. Francis?
