Taking the stage at Carnegie Hall is a dream for many, and for Chaminade’s C-Notes, it is a dream come true. On Sunday, April 14, the Middle School choir walked out onto the Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall and 64 students sang their hearts out for a full auditorium.
As the feature choir, the C-Notes opened the National Children’s Choir and National Youth Choir performances. They sang beautiful renditions of Exsultate Justi in Domino, Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day, Vois sur ton chemin, and Old Joe Clark. In addition, they performed with the National Children’s Choir, which was comprised of students from schools in Brazil and Georgia, as well as California.
The Carnegie Hall performance was the culmination of an exciting five-day trip for the C-Notes and their chaperones. They caught Newsies on Broadway, attended Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, visited the Empire State Building, and enjoyed 5th Avenue sights and food.
