On Friday, January 17, Chaminade Student Diversity Team hosted Diversity Day for the senior class. Chaminade students and faculty had the privilege of welcoming back speaker Calvin Terrell, the founder and lead facilitator for Social Centric, and a recognized authority on diversity, bullying, and social justice issues. During his day-long workshop on Mr. Terrell worked directly with the entire senior class on sensitive issues of race, bullying, gender, sexual harassment, and conflict resolution. Each part of this strategically created workshop helps students authentically examine their own personal roles in creating safe and respectful environments, whether at school or in the general community. In line with our Marianist mission, this senior workshop supports the effort to educate our students to be agents of service, justice, and peace.
