After the CIF State Track and Field Championships held in Clovis on Saturday, June 6, Chaminade has two more titles to add to its list of athletic accomplishments. After qualifying in four events, the 4×100 relay, 400 meter, 100 meter, and 200 meter, the Eagles placed first in the relay and 100, and second in the 400. This earned them 28 points, and the team tied for second place with St. John Bosco in the boys’ team title.

TJ Brock ’16 ran the 100 meter race in 10.34 seconds, and is now the fastest teenager in the state of California this year. This was his first individual state championship title.

The 4×100 relay team also took first place with a time of 40.75 seconds. It was a personal record (PR) for Jordan Chin ’16, Reggie Hughes ’18, Greg Campbell ’15, and Brock; and is the tenth best time in the country.

Campbell also ran in the 400, in which he placed second with a time of 46.97 seconds. This was a PR for him.
