After the CIF-Southern Section Boys Individual Chamipionships, Chaminade will send two wrestlers to the 2017-2018 CIF-SS Wrestling Masters Meet on February 23 and 24. The Masters Meet will be held at Temecula Valley High School.

Erich Osteen ’19 won the 220-pound division, and qualified for Masters. To win the CIF championship, Osteen defeated the 5th ranked wrestler in California from St. John Bosco.

During the 132-pound division Consolation Finals, Patrick Rowland ’19 came up short against the 19th state ranked wrestler from Sultana. Rowland then wrestled in one more match, through which he qualified for the Masters Meet.

During the same weekend as the Masters Meet, Osteen’s sister, Katja ’21, will wrestle in the 2018 CIF State Girls Championship in Visalia. She won the Girls’ CIF-SS Masters Championship in the 160-pound division on February 10.
