At the two-day CIF State Boys Wrestling Championship in Bakersfield, Chaminade College Preparatory’s Erich Osteen ’19 finished in 5th place (220-pounds). It was a successful end to the junior’s wrestling season.
To qualify for States, Osteen also competed at the CIF-SS Masters Meet, where he finished in 3rd. Osteen previously qualified for Masters during the CIF-SS Boys Individual Championships; there he won the 220-pound division. He is no stranger to post-season wrestling. As a sophomore, Osteen finished in 6th place at Masters, which qualified him for States. At the State championship, he made it to the 5th round.
