Welcome to a New School Year

Temperatures may feel like summer, but on Chaminade College Preparatory’s campuses, it feels like fall.  Today is the first day of the 2012-2013 school year, and if that seems a little early, you are correct.

Chaminade students and faculty returned to school after a shorter-than-usual summer this year because first semester finals will take place prior to Christmas Break.  In years passed all Chaminade students used some (if not all) of their vacation to study and prepare for finals.  This December, all students and faculty will be able to leave school for the two-week break knowing that they will truly have a fresh start to school in 2013.

Before Christmas Break, Chaminade has much to look forward to in the coming months.  Not only are the first couple of weeks a whirlwind of new activities, but at the end of August, Eagle football will host Pulaski Academy of Little Rock, Arkansas.  In addition, everyone at Chaminade looks forward to hearing the results of the science experiment which flew to space in May, listening to the C-Notes prepare for Carnegie Hall, attending more amazing student performances in the Tutor Family Center for the Performing Arts, and much more.

The 2012-2013 school year also marks Chaminade’s 60th anniversary.  Throughout the year, Chaminade will celebrate 60 years of academic excellence through its various events and activities.
