Freshman Jacob Lind ‘16 had an amazing day, finishing 8-0 in foil and becoming the California High School Foil Champion! Jacob also fenced in the saber event and finished 2nd, almost becoming a two-weapon state champion. The last Chaminade freshman to win the State Championships was Coach Derek Snyder in 1998. Other notable results came from team co-captain, Matt Carter ‘14, who finished 3rd in men’s epee and 5th in men’s foil. Gabby Najm ’14 finished 3rd and Jessica Fint ’16 finished 5th in women’s foil, and Parker Williams ’16 finished 7th in foil. Congratulations Chaminade fencers and coaches for a great season.
