De Los Santos delivered again after shooting 71 at the Southern Section final at La Purisima Golf Course, prevailing in a three-golfer playoff for third, highlighted by a 15-foot chip to save par on the 18th and advance to the second playoff hole, where he sank a clutch par putt to eliminate Fountain Valley’s Andre Vu.

Although the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo signee shot 72 to tie for 17th at the CIF/SCGA regional tournament at Brookside Golf Course, De Los Santos fell a stroke short of competing in a playoff to secure his first state berth.
