Chaminade’s Middle School Music Teacher Kathy Rohrs has advanced as a semi-finalist for the Music Educator Award presented by The Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Foundation. She is among a group of 25 teachers, from 24 cities and 15 states to be named as semi-finalists. In May 2013 it was announced that Mrs. Rohrs was a quarterfinalist. At the time, there were 217 music teachers, from 195 cities, and 45 states. Initially, more than 30,000 nominations were submitted from all 50 states. The 10 finalists will be announced in December.
