Eagles Defeat Knights

Chaminade C -on white- Eagles V2Chaminade football has another  victory under its belt after a 31-14 home win over Notre Dame.  The win puts the Eagles in second place in the Mission League, and improves their overall season record to 6-2.

Next Friday October 28, Chaminade travels to La Puente to face Bishop Amat. Kick-off is at 7:00 p.m.

Mission League Win for Chaminade Over Alemany

One week after a decisive Homecoming victory, Chaminade football faced Alemany in an away game. The Eagles came away from their Mission League match-up with a 28-14 win.

Chaminade is now 5-2 overall, and 2-1 in their league. The Eagles return home for a game against Notre Dame. Kick-off is at 7:00 p.m., at Booster Stadium on the West Hills campus.

Homecoming Victory for the Eagles

After a bye week, the Chaminade Eagles hosted the Loyola Cubs at Booster Stadium for Homecoming. On its first offensive possession of the game, the Eagles scored a touchdown with eight minutes remaining in the first quarter. At halftime, the score was 35-0, Eagles.

Chaminade improved to 4-2 with its 42-0 Mission League win over Loyola. Next up for the Eagles is an away game against the Alemany Warriors. Kick off at 7:00 p.m.

In addition to the victory, festivities included spirit activities and rallies for students at both campuses throughout the week. Theses events culminated in the crowning of a Homecoming King and Queen, Lawrence Hwang ’17 and Catherine Dauw ’17.img_9876

Homecoming was also Reunion Weekend for Chaminade alumni from the Classes of 1966, 1976, 1986, 1991, and 1996 (the Classes of 1956 and 2006 celebrated their reunions earlier this year). Class parties were held on Saturday evening, but Reunion Weekend started with the football game on Friday night. Before the game began, Golden Eagles (alumni who graduated from Chaminade 50 or more years ago) stood on the Deep Blue C and were introduced to the crowd. Alumni from all years gathered in the end zone to cheer on their football team and catch-up.

Chaminade Football Improves to 3-1

Chaminade C -on white- Eagles V2The Eagles held onto a 28-20 lead through the fourth quarter in their game against Bakersfield High School, and captured their third win of the season. With 26 seconds left on the clock, the Drillers fumbled the ball on the two-yard line. Chaminade recovered and secured the victory in Coach Ed Croson’s hometown of Bakersfield.

Chaminade Football is on the road again next week. On Friday, September 23 they travel to Gardena for their first Mission League match-up of the season against Serra. Kick off is at 7:00 p.m.

Eagles Claim Victory Over Vikings

In a non-league match-up at home, the Chaminade Eagles defeated the Valencia Vikings, 42-15.

This is the second win of the season for the Varsity team. At halftime, Valencia led by a score of 15-14. The Eagles returned to the game and held the Vikings scoreless for the entire second half.

Next week, Chaminade travels to Bakersfield for a Thursday night game. The September 15 game kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
